Huawei may support upcoming Mate 40 series with MediaTek processors

The Chinese giant has started work on developing new versions of the Mate 40 series of phones, and in new leaks it is reported that Huawei plans to support the Mate 40 series of phones with the MediaTek processor chips.

The series of phones Mate 40 has run many reports that put expectations about the category of processors used in this series before the official announcement is expected next September.
The series of Mate phones has been distinguished by new versions of the distinctive Kirin processors annually, and then the processors are presented to the P series of phones at the beginning of the following year, so some expectations have indicated that the Mate 40 series of phones comes with the Kirin 1020 or Kirin 1000 processor with a precision of 5 nm manufacturing, and then supports The processor series P50 phones in the first quarter of next year.

The new US ban also prevented TSMC from producing the Kirin chips for the Chinese giant Huawei, until the current supply orders were delivered to Huawei, and then TSMC would stop producing the chips to Huawei.

Some expectations also indicate that Huawei will go to use Samsung's strategy, as Teme @ RODENT950 leaks indicated that Huawei will present the Kirin chip with a 5 nm manufacturing accuracy exclusively in the Mate 40 models designed for the Chinese market, similar to Samsung's support for the Chinese and US versions of Qualcomm processors, While global market models come with the company's own Exynos processors.

It is also expected that Huawei will go to use the MediaTek chips in the models of the global markets of the Mate 40 series, as an alternative to the use of the latest Qualcomm processor Snapdragon 865 Plus, where Qualcomm is one of the American companies that are also subject to the restrictions imposed recently.

On the other hand, MediaTek is the most likely option, but the leaks did not clarify any of the processors expected to be presented in Huawei phones, as the Dimensity 1000 Plus processor is the best version of MediaTek so far, but this chip will not come with the same level of performance expected for Kirin 1020 or Kirin 1000 is based on TSMC's 7nm manufacturing process, so we're looking for more details on Huawei's plans for upcoming versions of its smartphones.
